A321neo blender 3D model for painting

Post by RicardoLVFR » Mon Dec 26, 2022 10:19 pm

We don't have a paintkit as we use decals to paint our fuselage, and the fuselage/tail section is just paint on the livery

here is the 3d model used by livery painters to paint the aircraft

here are the winglets

Must have the package installed to know exactly the names of the texture files.

Thanks for these, will make things simpler for sure.

Do you have any intentions to update the mapping on the engines? The last time I attempted to add text or pattern via Blender paint, the mapping was doing odd things and flipping/mirroring sections. Seems solid paint is the only option at present.

if we did it will mess things up in dozens of liveries. We might if we do the 320neo, which we don't know yet if we will.

ok, thanks for the response and understood.

I asked because as far as I could see you have only included solid paint engines with no patterns/test/logos in your liveries so didn't think changing the affected areas would be an issue, but I'm no 3D modeller with mapping experience so can't claim to have any understanding in this area :)

Hello there! Is there a blender model or a UV export file for the engines too? I'm planning to expand my fictional livery with all of your planes. Thanks!

Hi, the engine mapping is not available for blender.

We suggest you trial and error based on the texture sheet.

Hi Ricardo,

How would you deal with this new livery and specific the logo on the engine:

Don't understand your question, what do you mean deal? we have painters, I can specifically ask them and respond to you. Tell me specifically what is it you want to know. thanks
