Overspeed when flaps extended during managed speed descent

Post by COT_87 » Fri Oct 20, 2023 8:39 pm

On managed speed mode during descent, when I put my flaps to setting one, I get an overspeed warning. What should happen is it should select a lower speed and you should then gradually see the red marker appear in the PDF. This is not happening and the red markers appear way to quickly which causes the overspeed alarm.

We are fixing that with the avionics update.

Also, the approach mode/speeds should be automatically enabled, if it doesnt, select your own speed. But approach mode should kick in to avoid this.

Approach mmde should kick in but for me it didn't. Even after selecting it manually in the mcdu the speed remained too high for flaps 1 without an overspeed warning.

Yeah right now is a hit or miss, we are overhauling the CDU and avionics side, once that's done it should be good. In the meantime if it doesn't kick in, please change to Selected speed

Thank you. I have starting setting my speed manually to 200 knots before engaging flaps 1. Hopefully it won't take too long to resolve these issues.
