Dynamic lights fix

Post by RicardoLVFR » Tue Feb 01, 2022 9:58 pm

We have just uploaded an installer that fixes issues on most of our P3dv5 airports.

KMIA, KFLL, KBDL, LEBL, LEMD, SCEL, KMSY, TJSJ, KBWI

Download from the shop you bought these airports and you only need to run the installer once if you have more than just one airport from this list.

Hi Ricardo, have been trying to download this update from Sim Market, keeps getting flagged as a severe trojan on my computer. Trojan:Win32/Spursint.Q!cl, my computer won't even let me download it. Have always had stuff flagged downloading from sim market but never had it completely blocked.

Hi:

I just downloaded the "LatinVFR Effects Fix for P3dv5" from your site. When I run it, the install folder says "E:\prepar3d v5\LatinVFR\Barcelona_LEBL". I don't own LEBL and when I look for that folder it doesn't exist. Also, the shortcut folder is not being created in my start menu. When I run the installer, it ends with a successful message.

How do I know that this fix has been installed in my other LatinVFR airports (KSAN, KMSY, KFLL, KBDL)? And why isn't the shortcut folder being created?

Thanks!

That's just a placeholder location, it won't be installed there but on p3d/effects folder. My apologies for the confusion.

No shortcut is needed and just run it once if you have multiple of our p3dv5 airports.

Hi Ricardo:

Thanks for the reply. I just checked my Effects folder as noted above and it appears that only 2 fx files were installed -- spotlebl_2.fx and spotkbwi_2.fx, both dated 2/1/2022. Shouldn't there be additional files for the other airports (my list is in the original post). Also, I tried opening the exe file downloaded from your site with WINRAR to see if the other files are there but I get an error that the archive is corrupted and can't be opened. I assume that the file is a self-extracting archive ?

I downloaded from both of the 'fix' links on your site but neither opens in WINRAR.

Sorry to be a pain.

Those are the only files you need for the fix. There aren't any other additional files.
