LVFR releases Airport Static aircraft for MSFS

Post by RicardoLVFR » Wed Oct 13, 2021 11:04 pm

Enjoy arriving at an airport and seeing real world airlines and aircraft types parked around the airport. Within this package you will enjoy hundreds of aircraft variations (types, airlines) thousands of them manually placed according to real life on around 41+ default airports. The airports selected are mostly ASOBO (default) airports, so that they don’t conflict with modified custom airports.

The aircraft are placed so that they are compatible with AI traffic or aircraft ground traffic, nonetheless we recommend having the option “aircraft ground density” to zero. Nonetheless our package will work perfectly, but its best for the immersion that this setting is set to zero. The aircraft have been mostly placed on remote stands and on some stands near the terminal in order not to conflict with AI traffic and the overall user experience.

The airports that have these static aircraft are: KASE, HUEN, LPMA, LXGB, LOWI, KLAX, VNLK, KJFK, KMCO, LFPG, VQPR, NZQN, SEQM, SBGL, TNCS, TFFJ, KSEA, YSSY, KTEX, RJTT, CYTZ, EHAM, HECA, FACT, KORD, LEMD, KDEN, OMDB, EDDF, EGLL, KSFO, KDFW, KSFW, EGGP, LFMN, EHRD, ESSA, EDDS, RJCK, RORS, RJTH.

Hundreds of hand placed airplanes based on real world data on 41+ airports on the globe.
Hundreds of varieties of aircraft models and airlines.
Business jets, helicopters, regional jets, cargo aircraft, small to large airliners and military aircraft.
Compatible with AI traffic and default static aircraft.
Placement of Concorde in LFPG and EGLL as they are displayed in real life.
No impact on performance.

Q & A

Why can't you do entire world?

We did default asobo because we assumed these are the airports which will have less chance of being modified or created by 3rd parties. Since if we put aircraft in certain airports, 3rd party addons might exclude them, therefore making it useless, as it happens in KDEN, KORD and Sydney, our models are excluded.

We might explore how to expand beyond the 41 airports.

Is performance impacted

We saw no impact. We used not too detailed models for that.

Would this addon be updated according to the times?
Free of charge, and we will plan into expanding on to other ASOBO airports that come with world updates.

Why are they so few aircraft near the terminal?

On some airports other than EGLL, EDDF, LFPG, EHAM, KJFK, OMDB, KMCO, RJTT, and a few others, we did not edit the parking information, meaning we did not delete them so they don't conflict with AI traffic. Therefore we put aircraft on remote stands or parking that did not overlap with AI traffic.

The point of this addon is to add static aircraft, not replace AI traffic. And that both work seamlessly without issue.

Reason we also did not delete the parking info on the rest of airports is because 3rd party addons won't work correctly with our addon if we also put a file with parking information. We had to make sure no conflicts were done with our addon.

Very well, based on what everyone is asking, we are considering expanding beyond the 41 airports, to include the most important airports in every country of the world for this product (not the 30 thousand or so airports of the world). So we thank you all for your opinion and we are making a note of it.

Hello all, a few days ago we released version 2 of this package.

Adding 250+ airports to the original version. So in total its 300 airports

you can see the list in the map:

https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mi ... 499999&z=3

"HOW TO UPGRADE: 1. Open the Contrail desktop app. 2. Go to the "LVFR - Static Aircraft Bundle" product page 3. Click on "Activate" and enter your serial number"

We will look into adding more airports in the near future. Thanks!
