Overlapping textures at TJSJ

Post by djhab » Mon Oct 09, 2023 5:50 pm

on Xbox . I noticed that MSFS updated their points of interest.
One of them at the San Felipe del Morro castle overlaps with the textures and model provided by the TJSJ scenery. The one provided by MSFS is now much detailed than the one provided by the TJSJ airport scenery. See attachments and overlapping. Would it be possible to update this scenery to remove the one provided by the TJSJ add on ?

Also, any possibility you can add some light posts along this bridge in front of the airport ?

Thanks !

Yes I have the latest version available on Xbox. It shows the customized "San Felipe del Morro" but the new updated one by MSFS is actually very detailed and nice as you can see by the screenshots. So they are overlapping with each other. I would think the best option would be to.just remove the custom one that comes with the TJSJ add on.

I don't believe I have seen an update on this. At least not on Xbox..

Maybe you could add the "Capitolio" building which is also close.by as new landmark replacement and is very emblematic and visible.

Sorry I fly this area almost every day and is very nostalgic when I see all these buildings and landmarks. Hehe.

Thanks for reply. Hope it gets updated.soon!

So are there any plans to update this or should I delete and not use the TJSJ add on I purchased ?

This has been an issue since the USA World update and the added POI's. I also made a thread about it last year and I guess they forgot about it. I doubt any updates will come for this airport anytime soon as they are focused on the Airbus line up. Kind of a bummer since most of us mainly came to latinVFR for their great sceneries.

Great Thank you Ricardo.

I would think simply deleting the file/textures for San Felipe del Morro from the TJSJ add on should let the one from the MSFS improved POI shine through. They did nice detailed work on it.

Caribbean update coming out Jan 30. Hopefully you can fix it by then.

Looking forward.

We just submitted the update removing the Morro castle from the TJSJ package. In the coming weeks we hope Microsoft releases this update.
